Chad Koontz

Chad Koontz is a licensed Architect who received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Washington State University, with additional studies in Rome, Denmark, Russia, and at the Rhode Island School of Design. He began his career designing luxury apartment communities, commercial, and retail projects before finding his passion in residential design.

For over a decade, Chad has designed dozens of custom homes and remodels, including nearly ten years running his own architecture practice. He also spent time as a general contractor, giving him hands-on experience and a strong understanding of construction and engineering.

Chad joined Lochwood-Lozier for the opportunity to collaborate with a talented, like-minded team and focus on creating thoughtful custom homes that reflect each client’s vision and lifestyle. He finds great satisfaction in seeing ideas evolve from early concepts into spaces families can truly call home.

Outside of architecture, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and miniature dachshund, painting, and playing guitar and drums whenever inspiration strikes.
