“As a premier service, we manage intensely complex and high-end custom home projects— always with diligence and detail.”
WHEN A COMPANY IS COMMITTED to continuous improvement they steadily refine their practices in order to deliver better results for their clients. Mike Weihe, Senior Project Manager at Lochwood- Lozier Custom Homes, says, “I’m always on the lookout for new techniques and materials so I can bring cutting-edge ideas to the workplace. That hunger to improve makes things exciting and keeps us ahead of the curve.” Weihe has been with LLCH for 25 years, while President Eddie Putrya, with the company for nearly 20 years, adds, “I strive to bring analytical thinking and operational insight to every decision, ensuring that each home is executed with precision and care.” Most important to the team are the relationships that emerge from their work. Weihe emphasizes, “We cherish the connections that we form with clients. It’s about more than just erecting homes—we build trust and create lasting memories.”
Creative Solutions
Weihe loves a project management challenge. He details, “One time, we were remodeling a condo on the 35th floor of Bellevue’s One Lincoln Tower. The freight elevator maxed out at 10-foot lengths, but we had 16-foot millwork to get upstairs. Rather than compromise quality by adding seams, we assembled a five person ‘bucket brigade’ and passed the millwork up through the stair shaft, one piece at a time.” He adds, “That’s the level of commitment our team brings: we find a way—and we do it right.”
Industry Advice
Company President Eddie Putrya shares wisdom he has gleaned after years in the business. He recommends, “Learn from every project—especially the hard ones—and surround yourself with people who challenge you to be better. Never stop asking questions. Put your heart into your work—sometimes that means worrying about things more than most would, but that passion is what makes this career rewarding. And never forget your team. I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best in the business. The success of every project comes down to the people who bring it to life. Appreciate them, support them and help them grow alongside you.”
