We’re thrilled to be partnering again with a powerhouses in the industry, and that is Weyerhaeuser for the supply of manufactured studs & beams (Timberstrand LSL), joists (TJI), header beams (PSL) and sub flooring (Edge Gold) in the framing of this home.

We chose these manufactured framing products for their quality, strength, and stability; and the added necessary attribute being built with sustainable forest practices. We have carefully specified all the materials in this build, as we do all Lochwood-Lozier Custom Homes.

Here the Timberstrand LSL studs provide for a perfectly plumb surface for 11′-8″ tall walls.

Here we are using 1-3/4″ x 14″ LSL boards to cut our stair stringers. You can’t beat the stability and strength for a squeak proof stair.
Timberstrand LSL Beams shown. This is the structure for the 3-car garage, and if the term “built like a tank” ever applied, this would be perfect. On top of these tapered 1-3/4 x 14″ beams 12″ on center, will be 7/8″ EdgeGold sheeting, a waterproof coating and topped with 4″ of 6-sack concrete.
