Hey there, welcome back! In this update, our biggest announcement is the delivery of appliances and install, completed by Luwa Luxury Products. Wrapping up this stage was a big win, and puts us one step closer to completion. Follow along to learn more about the new features in the Idea House!

First and foremost, the kitchen has been receiving quite a bit of attention over the last 2 weeks. The last thing we showed you in this space was the installation of countertop slabs (thank you again, Scrivanich, for all your great work), and now we’re ready to show you more! Pictured below, you will see the evolution of the kitchen’s backsplash. Statements Tile‘s AK Luminous Marble Hex tile was selected for this feature, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Shoutout to Cosentino for hooking up the island and countertop slabs 🖤 we love the way they pull all the colors in this space together!

We had a special visit from Luwa Luxury Products last week, and it felt just like Christmas! Their team came with a truckload of luxury appliances, and spent 2 days on-site assembling and installing them to perfection. This appliance delivery truly was the highlight of our week. Thank you, Luwa Luxury, for stopping by, and for being such a pleasure to work with!

Luwa Luxury Products brought us all kinds of goodies: Hestan appliances, Perlick beverage center refrigerators, the Plum wine dispenser, and a Vent-A-Hood range hood.

Along with the indoor appliances, Luwa delivered the final pieces to the Hestan Outdoor Living Suite. This suite, with the side burner, comes equipped with weatherproof outlets and single-point gas and electrical connections to streamline fuel and power for all of the Hestan Outdoor products. Truly impressive!

The team at Inspired Closets are the masters of calming the chaos that is clutter. They are strong believers in the transformative power of custom organization, with a mission of turning disorganized, stressful spaces into organized, inspired ones! Inspired Closets equipped the Idea house with a spacious murphy bed, ample storage spaces, pantry organization, walk in closets in the bedrooms, and a luxury boutique style closet in the Master suite.

One of our favorite things about this Master Bedroom closet is the lighting. Though it appears as though the space is lit with recessed lighting, they are in fact skylights, Solatubes to be exact! We love them can’t believe how much natural light they bring in- thank you NW Natural Lighting!

While we’re on the topic of storage and organization, check out this custom set of shelving made in house for exact fitting between the sauna and wall. The top portion of these shelves are meant to hold towels and water bottles, while the bottom half will house a Perlick Beverage Center stocked with refreshing drinks to cool down after a nice sauna session. We can’t wait to see this puppy in action!

After much deliberation on what to use in this doorway, we opted to make our own pocket door with the help of Voiss Construction. By mimicking dark stained oak, this sliding door blends in perfectly with cabinetry dispersed throughout the downstairs.

Throughout the rest of the house, the majority of the interior doors received a custom stain to compliment the Paradise Matte UV engineered hardwood flooring planks from Castle Bespoke’s Mainstreet Collection, while others were painted to match their corresponding rooms. In order to ensure the stain dried evenly and smoothly, these Rift Cut White Oak doors (supplied by Lynden Doors) were secured in an upright position with the help of a wall, scrap wood, and painters tape! This staining set up was without a doubt one of the more creative ways to get the job done.

In addition to painting accent doors, the Master Bedroom fireplace was given a fresh coat of SlateCA090 from Rodda Paints. This cool gray will compliment the wallpaper and artwork in this bedroom wonderfully. Thank you, Trepus Painting, for the paint job!

In the secondary bathrooms, we chose horizontal shower nooks for maximum storage space. By using contrasting tiles, the shower niche becomes a main focal point and adds an extra touch of spice to the bathroom. These gorgeous tiles are all thanks to Statements Tile– go see their beautiful new showroom in Tukwila to ooh and ahh at their fabulous collection!

Along with double stacked washers & dryers, this space will come fully equipped with a gift wrapping station, dog washing vessel, and crafting table. This room is incredibly versatile and much more than a laundry room, not to mention all the cool design elements! One of the newest features in this room is the “New York Grey” Brick from Statements Tile, which makes for a great backsplash, and will be extended up to the ceiling! Also, take note of the gorgeous quartz countertop slab from Cosentino– unique in appearance and radiating style 🖤

As the interior comes together, focuses shift to the exterior and all that needs to be done outside. Thank goodness for our Tri-Scape team, they are tackling the hardscaping and landscaping on this project. Last week, they started the driveway. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Trench digging, carpet installs, mantle preparation, hallway storage, ongoing construction zone, etc.

Thank you for checking in!

Stay tuned for the next round of updates 😊
