Welcome back to another NW Idea House update! We have lots of exiting new things to share with you. These final months are crucial towards completing this project and seeing our vision come to life. Crews are hard at work all day every day to ensure we are reaching our goals and meeting our deadlines; thank you to all of our partners who are making this an experience we will never forget.
The sun is out, the yard is abloom, and “our” beaver has been busy at work! Being on this property is pure bliss year round, however, as the summer months roll in we are beginning to see more and more of what this land has to offer. From marine life and wildflowers, to forest critters and birdsongs, this property is coming to life right before our eyes.
One of the many luxuries the Northwest Idea House has to offer is it’s array of outdoor living spaces. Some of our awesome landscaping crew members spent the week templating the lower patio and assembling the Stone-Deks system and beautiful Porcelain Pavers, all provided by Mutual Materials to create this serene back patio.
MOVING ALONG INSIDE…
On the main floor, Boral Cultured Brick by Cultured Stone has been installed in multiple places as an accent feature. In the Great Room, an entire wall from floor to ceiling has been covered in this stunning Canvas colored brick. Thank you, Mutual Materials!
The Boral Cultured Brick can also bee seen along the back wall of the grand staircase. Voiss Wood Products has had all hands on deck for the last several weeks completing our millwork: adding window trim, baseboards, windowsills, installing cabinets, etc. Featured below are windowsills custom made to match the hardwood selection and stair treads.
These stair treads were custom made by Castle Bespoke to match the Paradise Matte UV engineered hardwood planks used throughout the Idea House.
Starting in the upstairs hallway, the installation of all interior doors has begun. These Rift Cut White Oak custom stained doors from Lynden Door will be hung all throughout the Idea House. Hardware coming soon from Emtek, click the ‘Hardware’ link for a sneak peak!
In the Master Bedroom we have installed this gorgeous Genesis Series Gas Fireplace provided by Fireside Home Solutions. The surrounding hearth is the Dekton Kelya slab from Cosentino, installed by the fabulous Scrivanich team. Above the fireplace and surrounding what will soon be a television, is going to be smoky toned painted shiplap, paint courtesy of Rodda Paint.
In the Master Bathroom, the tub and shower walls have been covered with this spectacular Calcatta Gold Porcelain Florim Slab from Statements Tile and Stone. These slabs were also installed by the awesome Scrivanich team.
Across the hall from the master bedroom in the laundry room, the installation of ceilings beams has begun! Features like the high ceilings and exposed woodwork are what truly gives this home an authentic Scandinavian barn feel.
Stay tuned for the next round of Idea House updates!
