WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER NW IDEA HOUSE UPDATE!
In our last update, we showed you the wood beams in the laundry room, cabinetry installs, slab installs, stair tread placements, exercise room flooring, music room painting and Kuvio wall panels, LUWA’s delivery, stone steps, and trail camera footage!
In this update, we are going to explore the nature trail that meanders through the forestry, freshly poured steps leading up to the Idea House, amenities in the mud room, custom staircase railing, most recent cabinetry installations with their sinks, various slab work, beginning stages of the climbing wall, paint touchups, and a variety of other ongoing projects at the Idea House!
There is an abundance of wildlife that roams the NW Idea House lot, deer in particular. We took advantage of the natural path that has formed from animal usage, put down some erosion control, and now have a nice walking trail encompassing the 2 acre property above the wetlands. The nature trail has been incredibly helpful for setting up trail cameras, removing debris, and getting a different perspective of this beautiful property!
After prepping and grading the driveway, Ralph’s Concrete Pouring came in this week and pumped concrete for the entry walkway. We are now ready for the Eco-Priora driveway pavers- thank you, Mutual Materials for the connection!
As you make your way into the Idea House through the garage, you come into the mud room which now has a newly installed Elkay water dispenser with crisp, chilled, and filtered water.
Moving from the mud room into the foyer, you are met with the grand staircase. Complimenting the custom white oak stair treads by Castle Bespoke are these gorgeous custom railings from Brookfield Stair and Rail. We chose to powder coat all the railing’s hardware to give a nice bright pop of white to the stairwell!
Cabinetry installs continue! The upstairs bedroom ensuites, media room, and downstairs spa bathroom are now showcasing these sleek cabinets from Bellmont Cabinet Co. Quality without compromise!
Along with cabinetry comes sinks. The star of the show is this custom crafted concrete sink from VC Studio Inc. in the main floor powder room. VC Studio Inc. specializes in timeless and functional concrete castings and finishes. Check out their Instagram to see some more of their recent work! @vcstudioinc
New sinks were also installed on the kitchen island, master bathroom vanities, and laundry room counter. Click the links to learn more!
The Scrivanich team is like a well oiled machine. For weeks now, day after day, they work onsite templating and installing gorgeous slabs from Cosentino around the NW Idea House. In this update, we see new slabs in the mud room, great room, kitchen, and on the outdoor patio wall!
Down in the basement sits a very VERY spacious exercise room. As we design and evaluate what kind of equipment to use in this space, one constant has been the idea of a climbing wall. This week we commenced the build! Now we must decide where to put holds 🤔.
With millwork complete, the painting phase has begun. Trepus Painting has prepped the entire interior for a fresh coat of Rodda paint, but first it is crucial to fill all holes and buff out any imperfections!
And last but no least… Wi-Fi has been installed. Now we can do all kinds of cool stuff online with Xfinity 😀
