How a custom home builder gives back to the community
At Lochwood-Lozier Custom Homes, building has always been about more than creating exceptional homes. As a trusted custom home builder serving Bellevue, Kirkland, Medina, Clyde Hill, and the Greater Eastside, we believe true craftsmanship also means using our skills and resources to make a positive impact in the community.
Each year, our team proudly participates in Ramp-a-thon, a community service event dedicated to designing and building accessibility ramps for neighbors who need safer and easier access to their homes.
Since joining the Ramp-a-thon event in 2009, Lochwood-Lozier has been honored to contribute our construction expertise, teamwork, and building spirit to help create more accessible living environments for individuals and families throughout the community.

What is Ramp-a-thon?
Since 1993, MBAKS (Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties) has held Ramp-a-thon, an annual volunteer-based community event that brings together builders, contractors, organizations, and local volunteers to build free accessibility ramps for homeowners with mobility challenges across King and Snohomish counties. Through teamwork, craftsmanship, and community spirit, Ramp-a-thon helps create safer, more accessible homes, because everyone deserves the ability to access and enjoy the place they call home.
Lochwood-Lozier’s commitment to community involvement
Founded on the principles of craftsmanship, integrity, and service, Lochwood Lozier has spent more than 42 years building distinctive custom homes and remodeling projects across the Greater Eastside.
While our work is often recognized for architectural design, quality construction, and attention to detail, our company culture is built on something equally important: caring for the people and communities around us.
Our involvement in Ramp-a-thon reflects the same values we bring to every project:
Craftsmanship: Applying our construction knowledge and skills to create safe, functional solutions.
Teamwork: Collaborating with volunteers, builders, and community partners to achieve a shared goal.
Service: Using our expertise to support neighbors and improve quality of life.

Building more than homes: We build a better community!
Every home we build tells a story, and every community project creates an opportunity to make a difference. Through Ramp-a-thon, our team experiences firsthand how thoughtful construction can improve everyday living for others. For Lochwood-Lozier, building means creating spaces where people feel safe, comfortable, and connected, whether it is a custom-designed home or an accessibility ramp that helps someone remain independent in their own home. We are proud to continue supporting this meaningful community tradition and look forward to many more years of building with purpose.
At Lochwood-Lozier, we don’t just build homes. We build relationships, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact — one project at a time.
