Barkitecture 2014

May 17, 2014 / Todd Lozier

For a charity auction event named “Barkitecture” at the Seattle Design Center, we built this lightly themed Seahawks Dog House. With a little creativity we designed it as a coffee table, with a built-in cooler, and a cushion for a small dog. The top and side is from a big-leaf maple tree in Redmond that needed to be removed, and the blue dyed wood is rift-cut white oak. It sold for $3250 and it had a matching planter we built that went for $550. The charity was Brigadoon Service Dogs. This was a team build with Demetriou Architects in Kirkland. Great fun and a great cause!

In addition to the dog house, we had tons of fun painting!
