GIVING OUR NEIGHBORS THE FREEDOM TO MOVE ABOUT
Last weekend Lochwood-Lozier employees volunteered their time, and suppliers like Dunn Lumber donated material for us to build an elaborate wheelchair ramp for an elderly woman who could not get out of her house nor afford such a luxury. What a rewarding experience for us and we hope to do it again. See the video, and yes we had twice as many workers from Lochwood-Lozier than needed, it’s just that everyone wanted to contribute. Check it out!
“Each year, MBAKS members and community volunteers head to homes throughout King and Snohomish counties to build wheelchair access ramps. For free. Because our neighbors in need deserve the same freedoms we have.
Since 1993, our members have provided more than 500 ramps. These ramps provide a much-needed benefit for individuals and families who struggle to get themselves or their loved ones safely in and out of their homes.”
